Our most diverse "Key"; Visit Bolivia's most fertile dinosaur fossil beds & dinosaur tracks, shop a full day at Tarabuco Indian Market (large traditional market), then spend a day exploring Bolivia's mining history at Cerro Rico, the area's largest silver mine. Day 1 (Wed): Fly La Paz to Sucre, historic capital of Bolivia. Half-day visit to Bolivia's most fertile Dinosaur fossil bed. Return to Sucre, visit principle monuments including baroque cathedral Casa de la Libertad & other churches in the old city. Hotel. (B)
Day 2 (Thu): Full day to Tarabuco Indian Market (Sundays only), the most authentic street fair of the Andes. Indigenous people from surrounding mountains don traditional wear; handicrafts and colorful handmade textiles. PM drive to Potos’. Hotel. (B)
Day 3 (Fri): Largest city in 1600s Americas, Potos’ silver was exported to Spain. Visit Casa de la Moneda, main monuments, old town churches, & Cerro Rico silver mine & miners' market; traditional role of coca leaf & worship. PM return to Sucre Hotel. (B)
Day 4 (Sat): Free day to explore Sucre markets, churches, restaurants, afternoon flight to La Paz for street markets; night in La Paz at Hostal Naira. (B)
