Day 1 (Wed):
Fly La Paz to Cochabamba; see transition from arid mountains to Amazon jungle driving steep mountains & valleys to Carrasco; Epiphytes, mosses, lichens & ferns. Dinner and overnight at Jungle Lodge El Puente, adjacent to Carrasco (B,L,D)
Day 2 (Thu):
Carrasco ranges from 15,000 to 800 feet in altitude; Rich ecosystem of unique palms, ferns, and flowers & very rare animals. Self-guided paths, clear streams & pools, numerous rare birds, butterflies, tropical fish, monkeys, & insects (B,L,D)
Day 3 (Fri):
Early walk to listen & watch wildlife & wide array of bird species. Explore Carrasco National Park flora & fauna, or relax in clear streams & rainforest that surrounds El Puente Lodge. Relaxing night at El Puente. Great sleep here. (B,L)
Day 4 (Sat):
Return to Cochabamba; free time to explore tremendous La Cancha street market or Portales palace before return flight to La Paz. Visit bustling La Paz street markets, night in La Paz at Hostal Naira. (B)
