10. Remote Fishing:
Fly-in to remote Lake Guatunas & Lake Largo, 70 miles north of Trinidad; Fish for arawana, pacu, piranha, peacock bass, and other amazon beasties. Comfortable lodging, transfer to boats each morning, all equipment, & private guide. May through December only. Riverboat #1 + Key #10: $1,595 plus airfare.
Tuesday night stay on Reina Riverboat near Trinidad
Day 1 (Wed):
Breakfast, early morning fly light plane to area near Lake Guatanas and Lake Largo; Spend day fishing Lake Largo from boat for piranha, arawana, pacu, peacock bass, and others; night at Los Lagos Hotel (B,L,D)
Day 2 (Thu):
Rise early morning to motor across small, remote area lake to sample new waters. We'll pack sandwiches & thermos for lunch on the water; afternoon hauling in various Amazon lunkers; night at Los Lagos Hotel (B,L,D)
Day 3 (Fri):
Rise early morning to test a new large area lake, enjoying the remote scenery as we navigate; We'll pack sandwiches & thermos for lunch on the water; Afternoon return to hotel for dinner and the night (B,L,D)
Day 4 (Sat):
Take aerial photos of Amazon rainforests and rivers during light plane flight back to Trinidad for connecting flight to La Paz; La Paz markets in the evening before night at Hostal Naira (B)
Sunday morning transfer hotel to airport for international flight back to USA
